ACI Retail Commerce Server OnDemand

ACI Retail Commerce Server OnDemand is more than a hosted-service; it is a key ingredient for retailers to reduce their overall transaction processing fees. Using ACI's software-as-a-service approach retailers can control their payments environment without the hardware and operational costs associated with owning a payment engine. Deploying ACI Retail Commerce Server OnDemand also allows retailers to reduce the scope of PCI compliance and further reduce their transaction processing costs.

ACI Retail Commerce Server for Rewards Management

Create promotional programs that deliver value to your customers. The cost to support issuer-based programs is continually increasing, which means customers are no longer receiving a valuable reward – or it takes too long to build enough points for a reward. For leading edge retailers, this is an opportunity to regain ownership of loyalty programs and drive new sales to stores.

The Retail Commerce Server Rewards Management solution maintains retailer promotional programs and manages the communication to the point of sale, allowing delivery of rewards in real time – providing immediate gratification to customers.

Disaster recovery

The Disaster Recovery module maintains a “warm backup” of ACI Retail Commerce Server on a server running in standby mode. The solution retrieves transaction logs from the primary server on a scheduled basis to update the secondary server. In the event the primary server should go out of service, a fail-over script is invoked and begins sending all transaction to the secondary server.

Active:Active

ACI Retail Commerce Server is now available in highly available active:active configuration. This allows multiple instances of the application and multiple instances of the database to run as companions and have the database automatically replicate based upon a timing variable.

Proprietary charge

The Proprietary Charge module allows retailers to internally authorize transactions instead of routing to an issuer host system. Typically, retailers use proprietary charge to automate their charge accounts into an electronic process instead of the manual billing. However, the solution is delivered around the concept of automating an import / export process to accurately authorize transactions and maintain appropriate usage limits. Retailers use this solution to improve customer service when external network connectivity is interrupted.

ACI Retail Commerce Server for Check Authorization

A centralized check authorization system that lets the retailer determine and enforce its check cashing policy. It provides a fast, convenient method for authorizing checks while limiting a retailer’s exposure to bad check losses from check runners, organized fraud schemes, checks written on closed accounts, and checks from those who consistently write non-sufficient funds (NSF) checks.

Check recovery

Check Recovery allows a retailer to automatically submit a check returned as Non-Sufficient Funds into the Automated Clearing House network. The solution automatically represents checks that are returned based on rules as established by NACHA. For each check representment, a schedule is created defining the dates and the number of times the representment can occur. Once represented, a ‘holding period’ is used before the payment is posted to the customer’s outstanding check record to ensure the representment was successful.

ACI Retail Commerce Server for Collections

Application designed to handle the entire life cycle of a returned check — from the day it is returned and entered into the system to the day it is settled or written off.

Customer management

The Customer Management system can personalize value card, check management, rewards management and ACH management solutions. This component stores customer data to issue personalized cards, hold transit routing and account data for ACH and to personalize rewards programs. All sensitive customer data is encrypted making the data unreadable and reducing the probability of the data being breached.

Customer telephone interface

The Customer Telephone Interface enables retailers to provide an automated self-service solution to their customers. For Check Management customers, the solution provides information about the checks and payments made. This module allows customers the ability to record promise to pay dates twenty-four hours a day. For Value Card Management customers, retailers can make balance inquiry and transactional information available via the interface.
